Bert in Burges Salmon's Atrium (© Burges Salmon) Looks like he's been picking his nose again! |
Bristol Zoo WOW Gorillas project commemorates Bristol Zoo Gardens' 175th birthday. This blog is about Frances Cony's design ENDANGERED PJs. Her gorilla Bert is wearing pyjamas decorated with endangered animals. The 60 gorillas (63 now with the addition of Doris,Rafiki & King Kong Merrily on High) were around Bristol from 6 July - 7 September. 20 were at Queens Walk, More London from 16-23 September. ENDANGERED PJs was on the Bristol-Bath cyclepath at Bitton Station.
Frances thanks Mama Bear's Day Nursery for sponsoring her gorilla, and Burges Salmon who bought him at The Auction on 29 September 2011 for £6 500. I think he has gone to a good home!

I bet Bert was pleased to see you :o)
ReplyDeleteHi June
ReplyDeleteNot seen Bert since the auction, yet, although I've been invited many times. I was sent this picture by Burges Salmon.
Bert isn't that bothered about seeing me. I might be interested in seeing him soon though as he's meant to be celebrating Hallowe'en! Intriguing!
I can't wait to see how he'll be celebrating
ReplyDelete... plastic fangs or green slime from his nose?
... then he would have an excuse for picking it!
Shame Ed isn't back in the Cemetry for Hollowe'en!
